"Oh my, how the little one has grown!" I thought as I peered into the gloomy attic.
The wasps had certainly been busy over the last few months. They had literally made my house their home, complete with extensions and upgraded capcacity.
I eyed the Wasp Nest Destroyer foam suspiciously, wondering whether foam could actually do anything against a rather large nest, which was probably home to an equally large swarm. The instructions helpfully explained that it would be best to attack in the morning or late evening, when they were all tucked inside. No doubt an attack on their home wouldn't be taken kindly, but there didn't appear to be any other choice.
I decided to take some last photos before the final push...
A few days ago, I posted an entry about what certain 'growths' I'd found in the attic were. I have since discovered that they are, in fact, hornet's nests! I've not seen any hornets up there, and I've been told that they vacate the nests annually, so if I'm lucky the things are empty! I just need to find the hole that they're using to get in and plug it up!
Crikey! I haven't seen anything like them before!
I went to the attic this morning and found these! Any ideas what they might be?
